Cyber Resilience

The Issue

Our research shows two thirds of FSB members have been a victim of cyber crime in the last two years, costing an average of £3,000 per business. This is a serious barrier to growth. Businesses need to take steps and assess the risks of online crime and fraud.

Action FSB have taken

  • We’ve produced a comprehensive report looking at the impact of cyber crime on small firms, based on evidence from FSB members
  • We’ve launched Top Ten Tips for members to stay safe online
  • We’re lobbying the Government for a cohesive response from the Police to online fraud and crime

Our Ask

We want to see a shared approach to increasing the cyber resilience of small businesses. This includes more action taken by digital and economic infrastructure providers to prevent cyber attacks. We also want to see a step-change in the law enforcement response to cyber crime. We believe all small businesses should have easy access to guidance and support about cyber threats and how best to prevent them.
