Our Bootcamp and Networking, sponsored by Coombe Abbey, is returning to Coventry in March 2023. It will be hosted by FSB Members Sandra Garlick MBE, founder of the Woman Who Inspires Network, and Dave Sharpe, International MC and BBC Broadcaster.

This event is designed to benefit entrepreneurs, the self-employed and small businesses from across the Midlands. On offer is:

  • a free-to-attend business networking breakfast, which gives you the opportunity to network with local businesses. Complimentary breakfast rolls are  included.
  • a free-to-attend Bootcamp. This is your chance to hear from inspirational speakers to help you develop and grow your business. The speakers and agenda will be added here as they are confirmed

Networking Breakfast: 7.30am – 9am

The multi-award winning Little Soap Company was created by Emma Heathcote-James in 2008 when she questioned why UK supermarkets didn’t offer organic soap on their shelves and fast grew to bring the first organic, natural and then job specific bars with their Eco Warrior range in all the main supermarkets, chemists and online giants. 

Now one of the fastest growing companies in the toiletries sector, Little Soap Company gained BCorp certification in 2019 and a Queens Award for Enterprise in 2022, the same year it gained Carbon Negative status. Counted amongst the “Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders’’ - the products follow suit with accolades of their own including awards from Beauty Bible, Free From Skincare Awards, Mama & Baby Beauty Awards, Green Parent, The Grocer and Psychologies Magazine Eco Awards. 

Bootcamp: Arrive at 9am (for 9.30am start) - 3pm

Every business in the UK is attractive to a cyber criminal. In this 15 minute presentation Helen will deliver a practical, jargon free,  top tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of cyber crime that you can implement today, and signpost to other supporting organisations.

Rachel Hayward is the owner and lead consultant of Ask the Chameleon, a consultancy committed to supporting SME’s and charities to increase turnover, gain recognition and exposure through writing winning bids, contracts, tenders and business awards.

Rachel will help explain how applying for awards and tenders means you could be winning in 2023. Sharing her tips for red carpet awards success as well as demystifying the tendering process, you could be seeing you - and your business name - in lights.

Andrew Pain is a TEDx and mental health speaker leading on burnout and men's mental health and on a mission to create decisive and resilient communities of people.

Andrew will talk about; burnout, mental health, critical decision making, breaking stigmas, psychological safety, imposter syndrome, fatherhood, and work/life balance.

Remy Clarke is Director of Cymer Marketing Solutions and has wealth of CRM & marketing knowledge and experience covering a wide variety of industries and organisations including Loughborough University, Compare the Market and sk:n Clinics.

Ruth Roan, owner of Building Business Consultancy. Recently listed in ‘100 women in the South East Midlands to champion change’ by Natwest Bank, Ruth is dedicated to supporting more women into enterprise. Ruth’s passion is working with people, organisations and local communities. Helping them to build solid foundations, giving them the skills, confidence and expertise to grow and succeed.  

Ladey Adey is a successful author, publisher, speaker, and grand-mother. She runs a family-owned publishing company, Ladey Adey Publications, with her daughter, Abbirose, and husband, Denis. Since 2014, she has written 13 books. Ladey works with universities and organisations creating bespoke, branded networking books.
