Get more involved with the Local Skills Improvement Plan for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Come along for updates on progress and priorities, contribute to vital skills discussions and help influence the next steps for local skills development.

Event Details

FSB has been leading the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire since Summer 2022 and, after lengthy consultation with the local business community, our plan of action to better skills provision with employers’ needs was published by the Department for Education in August 2023. But what happens now?

Phase 2 of the LSIP – the stage we are in now – is all about delivering the plan. We are busy convening colleges, independent training providers, skills and trade bodies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to make sure each of the LSIP’s 22 priorities are actioned.

But that’s not all - employers still need to feed into the process. You need to have the chance to get updated on progress and priorities, add your views on how each focus area develops and take part in workshops that will influence this next crucial phase. Book your free place on this event to take up that chance.

This event is open to all employers across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and is the third in a series of five workshops.  This workshop will focus on the priority areas of Employability and Transferable Skills.

A light breakfast will be provided before the main workshop.
