Our hugely successful FSB Business Bootcamp comes to Staffordshire for the first time in June 2024! Held at the gorgeous Keele Hall on Keele University Campus, our Bootcamp is packed full of hands-on workshops from leading local businesses, to help you build value into your small business.

It will be hosted by Karen Woolley, FSB Development Manager for Staffordshire and the West Midlands

As an FSB Development Manager, Karen represents thousands of small businesses by lobbying for them locally and providing both one to one support and local events to help bring small businesses together. Over the past 19 years of working for FSB, Karen has developed some extremely high profile professional relationships with key decision makers and MPs which have served to enhance the support she is able to offer.

She works closely with all media outlets across the Staffordshire and West Midlands region, and occasionally nationally, and is regularly called upon to give interviews on television, on the radio and in the written press on issues affecting small businesses. She has a strong understanding of the challenges anyone running their own small firm encounters and is passionate about all things small but perfectly formed in business!

Emma Canning - How to Navigate Challenges and Pitfalls
Emma is an Award Winner and FSB Member, who will share her business journey of being a small business owner and how she grew her business, going on to beat stiff competition from across the Greater West Midlands to become the winner of FSB's West Midlands Celebrating Small Business Award for Expansion and Growth. Emma founded Go Go Makers in 2013 when she identified a gap in the market for wrap-around school childcare. Go Go Makers is now a thriving business, employing 54 members of staff, running Holiday Camps at 6 Primary Schools and welcoming more children year on year - providing activities which make her company stand out from its competitors, which has resulted in exponential growth.
