Join us for this monthly networking gig for the UK’s creatives – from photographers to illustrators and everyone in between - to connect with others who could be key to securing new contracts and growing your business.

Event details

Did you know that thanks to the talents of illustrators, developers, designers, copywriters, editors, filmmakers, photographers, and many more, the creative industries contribute over £109bn to the UK economy? Doing your best work in the creative field and growing your business sometimes means collaborating with others who can do what you can’t – and vice versa. But how do you find the agencies and freelancers you want to co-create with? This popular monthly networking event from FSB is your solution.

Join us on the second Friday of every month from wherever you are – your desk, from a shoot, after a client meeting or from home – whatever works for you. You’ll get time to promote your talents to a virtual room full of creatives from across the UK, hear about what they can do for you, connect with them, and hear from inspiring speakers each month.

Your host, FSB’s Rob Basini, will make sure you get a warm welcome and the chance to make valuable new connections – all in one essential hour.

Our speaker this month is Gayle Rogers - Artist and Manager of the Workers' Gallery in Ynyshir

Dr Gayle Rogers has worked in the arts for over 30 years. She is a visual artist and researcher. As an artist she draws cartoons, comics, narrative art & illustrations as well as leading creative workshops and events with an arts-in-community focus.

In 2014 she created the Workers Gallery, a ‘small but fierce’ artist-led gallery, studio and workshop space in the South Wales valleys. The Workers is a venue for world-class exhibitions (particularly in social documentary photography and graphic novels) and Wales-based artist showcases alongside community events and artist residencies.

As a researcher Gayle works on social and sports history and heritage projects. She specialises in exploring the ‘how, why and where’ we commemorate our dead and is an expert in the memorialisation of the 1958 Munich Air Disaster. When combining her research and art practice she creates engaging visual narratives that make academic research, testimonies or complex histories more accessible to a wider audience.
