Join us for networking and some presentations at The Foundry

Join us at Foundry, home of Barclays Eagle Lab Poole for an info packed event featuring different speakers plus the opportunity to network with other delegates. At this event, two short presentations will cover two different topics. There will also be opportunities for networking with other delegates. Everyone is welcome whether an FSB member or non-member.

Our speakers:

Daniel J. Moore of Iron Dragon will be speaking on: Building a Brand that Lasts

Many small business owners believe that a brand is only for large businesses. Some see it as a luxury or a 'nice to have'. Still more are confused about exactly what branding does for their business.

In this 15-minute presentation, Daniel J. Moore will show you just what branding does for small businesses and how to use it more effectively. Covering communication, values and messaging, this aims to be an engaging and enlightening talk.

Daniel's bold, focused delivery aims to give you advice on how to be more unique and memorable to the people who matter. His insights and tips will help you stand out in your market as truly different, attracting better clients who more closely align with your values.

With a history in video games and game psychology, Daniel brings a unique take to branding for small businesses. He runs 1-2-1 brand strategy and identity sessions for business owners who want a more effective, powerful brand.

James West of ONLE Networking will be delivering a talk titled: Networking: The Overlooked Marketing Superpower

Before setting up ONLE Networking, the online business network for people who like people, James gained all of his sales for both of his previous businesses, including a six-figure website business, exclusively through networking.

Having perfected the art of networking for himself, he then grew a single Hampshire-based networking meeting into a worldwide online networking community. In this talk, James will explain how your behaviours at networking appear to run contrary to the “instant result” approach of modern marketing - a slower burn built on listening and helping others. But as he explains, with the challenge of differentiation greater than ever and the online marketing world saturated, networking can become your marketing superpower, by delivering business opportunities plus informing all of your other marketing activities.

Learn what is takes to be a great online networker and get the edge over your competitors with a more human approach to marketing.

Nicky Kildunne, FSB Development Manager for Dorset will also update you about grants, funding and business support opportunities available to businesses based in Dorset.
