Event details

These quarterly events are designed to bring women in business & enterprise together and to learn from the best in a relaxed and informal way, with a platform to learn, share, network and build vital relationships.

FSB member and volunteer - Cheryl-lya Broadfoot of Souls Compass and who is an advocate for London Women in Business & Enterprise will be hosting this event.

There will be breakout rooms to connect with other women in business after hearing from our panel. You will also be hearing form FSB about how they can help you and your business.

Both women and men are welcome at these events.

The theme this month will be How to Create Business Success on a Small Budget.

(Aim of the event is to inspire other women in business with your personal story around art/creativity.)

Our speakers:

Mercedes Yearley is the Company Director of Quest Soul Theatre CIC, a community-focused organisation dedicated to promoting well-being through drama. With a background as a secondary drama teacher and experience teaching overseas, Mercedes discovered the transformative potential of art therapy following her own mental health crisis. This journey inspired her to establish Quest Soul Theatre CIC, which provides low-level 'inclusive play' and drama-based workshops to help others navigate similar challenges.

A passionate advocate for creativity and mental health, Mercedes has been recognised for her work, including being a "Best Startup" finalist at the Bromley ABBAS awards and receiving a special commendation as a "Community Star." Her commitment to empowering individuals through drama fosters personal growth, resilience, and connection in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Wendy Daws is the Artist & Founder of MESS ROOM CIC. Wendy thrives on working with others, sharing ideas, exploring hidden stories, and making things happen. They believes strongly that disability is not an impairment to creativity and that art is for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. They have volunteered with Kent Association for the Blind since 2006. In 2017, they founded the MESS ROOM, which became a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2021. The MESS ROOM is an inclusive space where accessible and creative workshops are facilitated for all. Their open and collaborative approach promotes independence and community-led peer support, with a focus on breaking down barriers and reducing social isolation for all who work and play within the space.
