This 'FSB meet up' is one of a series of in person networking events held at FSB member premises

In this series of networking events, we will be visiting the premises of FSB members from across Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight. This event is open to members and non-members.

At this event, our hosts are Joy and Michael Michaud of Sea Spring Seeds. Sea Spring is the largest Chilli farm in England, growing over 150 varieties of chilli seeds and set just metres from Chesil Beach in the lovely village of West Bexington. The nursery sits on the hill side overlooking the stunning Jurassic Coast. Joy and Michael have run the business on their 15 acres of land for 35 years, and have seen a rise in demand for their seeds since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Come along and hear their story, learn about the process of growing chilli seeds and how the business operates. This is a networking event, and so will be an opportunity to meet other local business owners.

This is a land-based business, and so the event will take place outdoors. If the weather is inclement, there will be shelter in a greenhouse, but as this event is taking place in July – we hope for fine weather! Please do wear attire suitable for uneven, sloping ground, and check the weather forecast prior to attending in case of the need for waterproofs, umbrellas or sunscreen. If the day is hot and sunny, then the greenhouses will be hot.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and water will be provided.

Parking details

The nursery is situated behind the owners’ home and so parking is available on the drive, or roadside.  Please note, we will need to double park and so if you need to leave early – please do bear this in mind when parking.

To enable FSB to deliver a high level of customer service at our events, and to tailor the content where appropriate, we will share your full name and business name with the host of the event you have registered to attend. The event hosts are representatives of FSB who irretrievably delete your details following the event.  Should you not consent your full name and business name being shared with the event host, please contact [email protected] within three working days of the event taking place, with details of the event.
