Join us at our next face-to-face #FSBConnect networking meeting for a catch-up with other small businesses. This session will provide a great opportunity to discuss positive initiatives and explore useful connections for the future. Open to FSB members and non-members.

Northern Ireland Development Manager, Roisin McAliskey will facilitate the session which is a is a chance for people to come together, share their small business journeys and experiences and make new contacts.

The event is free for members and non-members.

Guest Speaker

Lynn Carvill is the CEO of WOMEN’STEC, a social enterprise headquartered in Belfast which specialises in trades skills training and the promotion of careers for women and girls in male-dominated sectors. Lynn is also a founding member and Chairperson of the Northern Ireland Women’s Budget Group. She has a keen interest in gender equality issues, particularly in relation to women’s labour market participation and economic position.

WOMEN’STEC engage women and girls from disadvantaged areas and/or backgrounds and provide training and education in trades, I.T and horticulture. Their goal is for equal participation and opportunities for women in all sectors of work and they provide a range of training courses, programmes and support services to provide a holistic experience for women who are furthest removed from the labour market. Their #notjustforboys programme works with girls encouraging them to consider careers in male-dominated industries.
