Adam Ellerington - Senior R&D Tax and Capital Allowances Consultant

Adam is an ATT-qualified tax advisor who has been with Markel since 2013. He has over 11 years’ specialism in R&D tax credits and in that time has prepared and overseen in the region of 1,000 R&D claims. He is the author of the R&D tax relief section of the Tolley’s Tax Planning handbooks. In his current role, Adam manages and oversees a team of experienced consultants preparing claims across a wide range of industries.

Paul Wilson - Policy Director, Federation of Small Businesses

Paul Wilson is the Policy Director at FSB where his team aims to provide a voice for the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses and the self-employed. Paul’s team publishes regular reports on a range of topics that affect small businesses, including FSB’s quarterly confidence report – the Small Business Index. Other recent research topics have included tax, finance, and energy. Prior to joining FSB, Paul was a director at the Law Society.
