A very special celebration at our South East Wales Business Networking!

Local News 3 Apr 2024

Last week our popular South East Wales Business Networking event took place but with a little bit of added sparkle this time around!

The bi-monthly networking event, taking place in the historic and vibrant Space2B @ The Maltings in Cardiff, is a regular date in the diary for many and this month proved no exception with another sold out event – alongside a full waiting list as well!

With a slight change to the timings this month, an 11am start allowed the event to also serve as a platform to allow us to honour the achievements of some of Wales’ outstanding businesses with some of our FSB Awards winners in attendance.

Awards were presented to Katherine Jones Artist (Self Employed/Freelancer Award), BE.Xcellence CIC (Diversity & Inclusion Award), 9Trees (Sustainability Award & Microbusiness of the Year Award), My Window Cleaner Cardiff (Franchise Business Award) and The Hideout Cardiff (Community Business Award), further highlighting the region’s entrepreneurial spirit.

As well as enjoying the glitz and celebrations with our award winners, all attendees also had the privilege of hearing from our wonderful guest speaker, Jeff Patreane.

As the Founder & Creative Director of Caffeine Creative, Jeff discussed ‘The Powerful Influence of Design in Making Your Marketing Better’, his extensive experience in both design and marketing allowing him to share invaluable insights.

The room was charged with the buzz of conversation as attendees took full advantage of the networking opportunities the event provided, enthusiastic discussions taking place with new connections being made and existing relationships being strengthened.

Rob Basini, Development Manager for South & Mid Wales, said "‘It’s always good to see our members and the small business community making productive links, and to hear people like Jeff at Caffeine Creative sharing their significant knowledge and expertise with other businesses.

It was particularly special today to be able to recognise the wonderful FSB Wales Awards winners who attended, and to hear how in their own ways they are all looking after their customers so well and contributing positively to the economy, to a more sustainable future environment and to their communtiies. It was fantastic to have them with us today’.

A very special event that proved to be another outstanding success and it is evident this networking session is going from strength to strength. Tickets are already selling well for the next South East Wales Business Networking, taking place on Thursday 9 May, 9am – 11.30am, so don’t miss out and book your place now!
