A series of rolling road closures will be in place, making some local businesses inaccessible to customers at peak trading times, and a number of local Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) members have raised concerns about the planning and communication around the high-profile event.
One of those business owners is Neil Butler, who runs Stewart Tower Dairy with his wife, Linsey. Their family business is on the C408 road east of Bankfoot, which will be completely closed to traffic from 10.30am to 2.15pm to accommodate Medio Fondo cyclists.

Congestion in Perth is also of major concern on Friday 4th of August, compounded by full-day city-centre street closures as visitors arrive for the opening day of the Perth Show. The A93 linking Perth to Blairgowrie will be closed for 7 hours.
