Benefits and barriers to export

You will understand the benefits and risks of exporting to help you make informed choices, the common pitfalls and critical tips for export success. Be a part of your local community, add to your business social value, join Cumbria CVS on Wednesday 5 june 12:00pm to 1:30pm at Kendal Town Hall. Drop in to meet local organisations and find out about the wide range of volunteering opportunities available. Organisations attending include: Age UK, Kendal Museum, National Trust, NW Air Ambulance, Guide Dogs, Health Watch, Singing in Mind, Sightline, and others.


Support the local environment

Be a part of your local community, add to your business social value, join Clean River Kent Campaign to reduce the impact of litter in the river and along the banks. Kayakers, canoeists, and walkers welcome on Sunday 9 June 10:00am to 1:30pm at The Pavilion, Staveley, Kendal.


Eden Focus on Funding

This funding workshop will help you to be prepared to get grant funding, designed for voluntary/not-for-profit organisations. Held on Tuesday 11 June 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Eden Rural Foyer. You will be supported to have a funding toolkit with checklist and supporting documents ready for when you need to prepare a grant application, every funder is different and each grant application will be too. From DBT / UK Export Academy on Tuesday 11 June at 2:00pm join Hillary Rossborough from International Trade Services to uncover how to utilise the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) to grow your business. The UK-EU TCA means an agreement on reduced tariffs for UK businesses selling their goods and services moving from the UK to European customers.
