Cumbria Tourism Awards

Cumbria tourism and hospitality industry can spotlight their businesses as the Awards open for 2024. There are 16 categories and the closing date is Friday 1 March. Unsure where to start, this webinar unravels the complexities of awards applications ‘How to be an award-winning business’. Eligible winners in many categories will have the chance for national applause, feeding directly into the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2025. Harnessing Best Workplace Behaviours and Fostering Good Culture

Join Cumbria LEP for a transformative half-day session on Friday 1 March in-person at the Cumbria LEP Conference Centre. Catalyst: Creative Residencies in Cumbria

A brand-new project in Cumbria to showcase world class creativity is looking for three artists to make new artwork. Women in trade webinar

Join UK Export Academy on Wednesday 6 March 10am to 11am to celebrate International Women’s Day and learn about the opportunities and challenges for women in trade. In this free webinar the UK Chapter of the Organisation of Women in International Trade takes you through the many tools and programmes women-led businesses can benefit from. FSB Women in Business - Lancashire & Cumbria

Our focus is on inspiring women and highlighting the achievements of positive female role models. Let's shine a spotlight on the incredible stories and accomplishments of women who serve as powerful examples for others. We bring you our next in-person event on Thursday 7 March at Lancaster Castle. Professor Lola Dada, Head of Department, Management School, Lancaster University, will be presenting on how leadership can be developed amongst women in business. Green grants for carbon reduction

Westmorland & Furness businesses can apply for grants upto £10,000 (between £3,000 to £10,000 need a 30% match from the business). Activities supported by the grants include but not limited to; training and coaching, research and development, renewable energy technology, additional insulation, upgrading electrical infrastructure and waste reduction. Zero Carbon Summit 2024

Cumbria Action for Sustainability are inviting local people and businesses on Wednesday 20 March 10am to 4:30pm, in Penrith, from across Cumbria to share experiences and expertise. Book here.


North West Apprenticeship & Careers Expo 2024

Shout Connect invite you to join them on Wednesday 20 March 12pm to 7pm in Preston. Business can exhibit at the Expo; with over 1500 visitors at the 2023 event; you will have the opportunity to engage with potential apprentices and new additions for your team.
