On 26 September, it was FSB London’s turn to welcome and host a visit by Martin McTague – National Chair of Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). View our short video here on X (formerly Twitter) or watch on Facebook
Martin joined us in Hammersmith to meet the Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council (H&F) – Cllr Stephen Cowan along with Council colleagues, small businesses, FSB London members and FSB London volunteers.
H&F Council is one of London’s leading councils and the first London Borough Council to become a ‘FSB Local Leadership Partner’ (an England-wide FSB initiative). FSB, as a key partner to local authorities, has identified a number of key priority asks to strengthen links with councils across England.
Our focus for what was a most inspiring and informative Roundtable discussion was net zero and the environment to coincide with the launch of a new report from FSB which looks at net zero support programmes across England.
H&F Council is rising to the challenge of the climate and ecological emergency and is working to make the borough the greenest in London including the provision of greatest number of electric vehicle charging points.
The Climate Unit and Business Support Teams at the Council are well connected and strive to see the small business community thrive on their net zero journey.
