FSB Scotland welcomes New Chair

Local News 10 Jan 2023

FSB Scotland is pleased to welcome Pauline Weddell as the newly appointed national Chairperson. Pauline is a longtime FSB member and her appointment represents new opportunities for the new year. Allow her to introduce herself here:

I am Founder and Director of my business Learn To Grow Ltd.  We help our clients to build and maintain a healthy organisation. We support individuals and organisations to learn and grow.  We work with leaders and teams to build common purpose, strengthen relationships, and discover new ways of creating change together.

I started the business in 2020 after almost 35-years of working in senior Human Resource roles with many blue-chip organisations.  I have been lucky enough to work across the U.K. and internationally.  I am passionate about people development and inclusion, equality & diversity.

I decided to join the FSB because as a small business if offered me a wealth of useful resources and practical advice that I could access at any time.  I attended my first networking event (although slightly apprehensive) and loved it.  The FSB community were so welcoming and friendly and I decided that I wanted to be more involved in this area.  I went on to host the Edinburgh Virtual Networking and more recently Scotland Women in Enterprise Networking events and through these I have met some wonderful small business owners and have expanded my own network greatly.

I’m really excited and optimistic about what 2023 holds for not just my business but for all small businesses out there!
