“FSB Wales congratulate Ken Skates on his re-appointment as Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Transport and North Wales.
“We have seen tentative signs of economic recovery – now small businesses and the self-employed will be looking for a clear signal from the Cabinet Secretary that he will work in partnership with businesses to galvanise growth.
“To develop a productive and prosperous economy, Wales needs to create the right conditions for businesses to flourish and new, innovative companies to be founded. This will require a renewed focus on the enablers of growth; access to a skilled workforce, improving key infrastructure and more effectively aligning business support to boost SME productivity.
“With a new UK Government, there is an opportunity to build a constructive partnership that gives Wales a distinctive voice within the UK Government’s growth mission.
“FSB look forward to working with the Cabinet Secretary on behalf of the small business community to ensure that every area of Wales can benefit from the ambition of economic development.”
