Health, wellbeing and personal development for small businesses

Local News 26 Jul 2023

When you’re busy running your own small business, it’s important to take the time to look after your mental, physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.

If you’re looking to connect with other small business owners to share practical tips, insights, good practice, and take time out to focus on your health and wellbeing, then join us for our monthly FSB national virtual networking event (originally an FSB London networking event).

Our co-hosts – both FSB members and volunteersSchnel Hanson, a Health & Confidence Coach and Anna Stapleton, a Mental & Emotional Wellbeing Expert provide a warm welcome to all who attend.

Over the course of 2023, to date, a variety of topics have been presented, considered and discussed.

  • January: Our host, Anna Stapleton, invited all to reflect on the importance of the mental and emotional elements of starting and running a business.
  • February: Our former FSB London Wellbeing Policy Lead, Anne Iarchy spoke about healthy habits for productivity which discussed energy, focus, organisation/planning and accountability.
  • March: Anthony Kingsley covered the topic of wellness travel and how to feel rejuvenated for business success.
  • April: Zoltan Zavody examined the topic of structural bodywork and how it impacts on people’s lives.
  • May: Coincided with Mental Health Awareness Week and Bayo Igoh expanded on the importance of self-awareness and self-empowerment.
  • June: We asked – “Why should we be talking about menopause?” - and its impact on both women and men and in the workplace. This question was knowledgably explained by Alison Theaker.
  • July: Emma Saccomani discussed the important topic of setting boundaries when it comes to our mental health.

Now we look forward to:

  • August: Our co-host, Schnel Hanson will introduce us to box breathing and the benefits it can bring to you as a small business owner. Taking place on 16th August. Book for free here
