Join New Moray Food & Drink Trail

Local News 9 May 2023

Visit Moray Speyside are excited to announce the creation of a brand-new Moray Speyside Food and Drink Trail, and you are invited to take part. Whether you’re a restaurant, café, shop, or ice cream parlour, if you have a great food and drink business and are based in Moray, then they’d love for you to join the trail and help showcase the best of what Moray Speyside can offer!

The initiative will promote food and drink businesses across the region and link them together by creating a circular driving route. It is planned to include producers, processors, retailers, and hospitality businesses. Joining the trail will give your business extra exposure and help contribute to the overall appeal of Moray as a food and drink destination. The trail is planned to go live in-time for this year’s summer season.

Here are some ways your business could benefit from taking part:

  • Increased attraction of visitors to an area or destination
  • Increased exposure to participating businesses
  • Increased likelihood of tourists and visitors staying longer and spending more
  • Increased collaboration between stakeholders
  • Linking together of different areas of a wider region
  • Bringing food and drink producers and providers into the world of tourism
  • Promotion and conservation of local food and drink heritage, traditions, and stories
  • Acting as a ‘place-finder’ for those looking for food and drink experiences
  • Contributing to marketing Moray as a food and drink destination

More about Moray Speyside’s new Food and Drink Trail:

The trail is approximately 180 miles long and travels to all corners of Moray, from Brodie in the far West, to Cullen in the East, and all the way South to Tomintoul in the Cairngorms, providing visitors with a diverse mixture of landscapes and cuisine. As the route covers a large geographical area it travels through the majority of all major towns and villages within Moray.

The trail will primarily be an ‘online trail’, with an interactive map on the Visit Moray Speyside website. The map will allow visitors to view all participating food and drink providers, with a short description of each business provided and links to their respective social media pages and websites included.
