Fareham Borough Council launches new initiative for local businesses
Fareham Borough Council has appointed decarbonisation specialist Beyond Procurement to help reduce the carbon footprint of businesses in Fareham. Beyond Procurement will provide a 12-month support programme to 27 Fareham-based businesses, providing expert advice to help them achieve their sustainability goals and, in most cases, reduce their energy costs.
Be Cyber-Safe at Christmas
In Dorset alone, businesses lost a total of £757k to fraud and cybercrime in December 2022/January 2023. Common tactics used by cyber criminals to trick people in to handing over credentials, or authorising payments to fraudulent bank accounts but the single biggest form of cybercrime is email compromise, which is generally the first step of a more serious cyber-attack.
