Love Business announce their theme, to inspire a mindset for success

Love Business Expo will be channeling the achievements of the region’s sporting heroes to help local firms develop a winning mindset that brings growth and success.

The event will have a sporting theme as it celebrates the rich local history of sporting successes of some of the best-known teams, athletes and competitors from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire and looks at what lessons can be learned in business.

The FSB will be back hosting the upstairs café networking area, offering a hub for small businesses. The event, taking place at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough on Thursday, 16th February 2023 will bring together businesses from across the East Midlands and beyond.

As the UKs largest small business organisation with over 12,000 members across the East Midlands, the FSB will bring their focus on key SME issues to the expo, hosting an unmissable hive of activity in the upstairs Café networking area where businesses from across the region can make new connections and opportunities, find business support and enjoy refreshments. Some of FSBs many service providers including specialists in tax, finance and insurance will be on hand to offer advice to small business owners and self-employed attendees.

Jennifer Thomas, FSB development manager, said
“The 2022 expo was a fantastic day for the whole FSB team, we saw so many members and small businesses who had travelled from across the East Midlands to join us in one central point. We welcomed a record number of new joiners on the day, which is always a good sign for us that people are looking to grow their business and take advantage of the protection which we offer our members. We are excited to see what the 2023 expo has in store!”

To reach – and stay at – the top of the sporting game requires a mindset for excellence and success, and Love Business 2023 will explore precisely what it takes to adopt such a positive mental attitude.

The event will boast some big names from the region’s leading sports organisations, who will share the secrets of their success and how they can be applied to business.

It will also include the usual action-packed mix of inspirational business stories, insight from local and national business and political leaders, and advice from industry experts across a wide range of sectors.

Other sponsors and partners of the expo include East Midlands Chamber, KuKu Connect, SMB College Group, Fancy Entertainment, Generation Next, Hardy Signs, the British Business Bank, the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre, Accent Commercial Resources, the Loughborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce, Inchcape, Dpi and Cross Productions.

Help the Homeless Leicester and Me & Dee are the event’s official charity partners.

Steve Megson, Managing Director of Love Business Founder Quiet Storm Solutions, said: “Love Business has a proud history of connecting business with support and partner organisations across the region to start conversations and develop success.

“This part of the UK also has an amazing sporting heritage, with renowned footballers, rugby players, cricketers, athletes and international competitors from many sporting disciplines hailing from our three counties, which make up the Heart of the Midlands.

“There are many parallels between what it takes to be successful in sport and how to win in business. Next year’s expo is about exploring those links and sharing some practical tips with business owners that they can put into practice straight away, to give them the foundations they need to grow.”
