After distributing grants to 2,650 charitable organisations in 2022, the fund returns providing grants of £500 to charities and community organisations, to help launch or strengthen their services.
This year the grants will be available to more organisations than ever before from all across the country. Schools are also eligible to apply if they are a registered charity.
Applicants may apply for funding for projects under the following themes:
- Providing support to improve mental health
- Enabling participation in physical activity
- Enabling participation in the arts
- Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
- Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality
- Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency
- Improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
Specific criteria applies which includes:
- Organisations needing to be in their first year of operation or having an annual income under £250,000
- Using the funding to launch new projects or support existing ones
- All organisations and projects must be located within England, Scotland or Wales
- Groups may only apply once in 2023 for the grant
Applications will close on 31 October 2023. The application will take approximately 20 minutes and you should receive an outcome within six weeks.
