March For Business Month with Denbighshire County Council

Local News 17 Feb 2023

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the successful Denbighshire March For Business campaign is back for 2023.

Following record attendance figures in previous years, the return of the campaign marks the fifth time it has been run by Denbighshire County Council. The aim of the month is to help support the growth of the local economy, including community businesses, co-operatives and social enterprises.

This year there will a number of exciting events once again with a mixture of workshops, forums and networking events. These will include the Rhyl BID Business Awards, a business health clinic, a selection of social media workshops, pop-up business support, help available in starting and running a business and a guide to tax and book-keeping, amongst many other useful and interesting opportunities.

This is not forgetting the return of the March For Business Dinner, in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses, Business Wales and supported by the Ministry of Defence.

The annual dinner, taking place on Wednesday 8 March, 6.30pm – 10.00pm, is a key event of the month with around 100 business people attending from all over North Wales.

The theme this year is aimed at assisting business owners and managers to cope with the rising cost of doing business. Speakers, including Stu Meades from Greener Edge Ltd, will offer practical advice on low cost and no cost energy efficiency measures. It is a great opportunity for business owners and managers to network with industry experts and to explore cost-saving strategies.

With the scenic backdrop of the Faenol Fawr Country House and Manor Hotel in Bodelwyddan as the venue, guests will be welcomed to the event with a drinks reception before then sitting down to a three course menu with locally sourced produce.

Ticket sales close Wednesday 1 March so don’t delay and book your tickets today. Subsidised tickets are £12 per head and limited to two per company.
