Local News 19 Jul 2023

Find out more about your local FSB team - Nicky Kildunne is FSB Development Manager for Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight.

My name is Nicky Kildunne and I am FSB’s Development Manager for Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

It is my very great honour to represent 9,500 or so members spanning all sectors and sizes across Hampshire, Dorset and the Island.

My FSB role is to be the conduit between local government, local strategic decision makers and the business community.  I provide the small business perspective into decisions being made locally that affect the eco-system in which you all operate.  My door is always open to discuss any issues that are affecting your business – do get in touch

I also try hard to make sure members across Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight get to know about opportunities such as business support, grants and funding, local initiatives as well as any changes that might affect your local business community.  Please do bookmark our regional news page, where you will find all of this information, updated weekly.

The other part of my FSB role is to plan activity to benefit our members, and so together with Beth – our Operational Support Co-ordinator, we regularly review our events and activities strategy.

My professional career started in commercial contract management for Premier League football.  I soon realised that making a difference is what motivates me, and no matter how hard I tried in football, everything rested on how the team performed on the field.

I left the football industry to manage a University owned business centre.  This is where my passion for working with small businesses began.  Since then, I have worked for Business Link as a business and skills advisor; Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and Totton College – working with young entrepreneurs; I’ve owned and run my own shop – where I became involved in the Somerset business community impacted by flooding and ended up returning to a role in business support – helping those affected…  From where I joined FSB, 8 years ago.

I’m a wife, mum to grown up children and Labrador owner.  I love travelling and music – even better when together!  I feel very lucky to work in a job I love, for an organisation I truly respect and believe in.  I look forward to hearing from you, should you wish to discuss anything?
