Following confirmation of the new Welsh Government Cabinet, Ben Francis, FSB Wales Policy Chair, said:
“A new Cabinet is an opportunity to start a new chapter for the Welsh economy, with a clear mission to achieve economic growth.
“Businesses need confidence that the Welsh Government will work in partnership with them to develop a productive and prosperous economy.
“Cross-cabinet alignment, utilising all Welsh Government’s available levers, will be vital to delivering on the enablers of growth; access to a skilled workforce, improving key infrastructure, more effectively aligning business support to boost SME productivity and addressing backlogs in the planning system.
“It will also require utilising the new positive partnership between the UK and Welsh governments to ensure that Wales has a distinctive voice within the UK Government’s own growth mission.
“The Federation of Small Businesses look forward to working with the new Cabinet to create the right conditions for small businesses to survive and thrive in order to create jobs, spread prosperity and keep our communities vibrant.”
