Made in Britain, the organisation uniting close to 2,000 British manufacturers by their licensed use of both the Made in Britain and the Made in Britain: Northern Ireland collective marks is organising and hosting a fireside chat at the Northern Ireland Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference at the TEC in Belfast at 1:20pm on Thursday 22nd June 2023.
The session, entitled ‘Supply Chain Localisation: Trust, Resilience and Sustainability’, will be moderated by Made in Britain CEO John Pearce, who will be joined by two leading representatives of manufacturing firms in Northern Ireland, from Made in Britain’s community of members:
- Alan Lowry: CEO of Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) and Chair of the Northern Ireland Policy Board at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)
- Martin Mallon: Technical Marketing Manager at CT1

Almost half of British businesses (43%) faced international shipping delays on goods purchased from other countries during the 12 months to January, according to the Buying British Survey conducted by Made by Britain together with OnePoll, which polled 1,000 decision makers involved in procurement at UK companies. Of those that faced delays, 66% say their business started buying more British-manufactured goods as a result.
